MCC is all about issues affecting motorcyclists and motorcycling in Canada. We work on behalf of members to address the issues that are important to you. Current MCC positions are described below, and we will continue to develop others as needed. Please visit this page often for updates.  Helmet Standards for On-Road Riding
After reviewing existing helmet standards referenced in the regulations of all Canadian jurisdictions, and the more recent ECE 22-05 helmet standards developed and adopted all across Europe, MCCs position is that: - some recognized helmet standards are antiquated and require updating, while all standards need to be better explained to consumers
- helmet regulations should be consistent among Canadian provinces and territories, and
- newer helmet standards, such as the European helmet standard ECE 22-05, should be approved for use across Canada

 International RecognitionMCC does not sanction race events, but supports clubs that want to enter international competitions or host international events in Canada. We will consider other initiatives. A working relationship with AMA has been established.  Motorcycle Sound Emission Standards Common decibel standards need to be determined for all motorcycles, acceptable to government, industry, motorcyclists and the public. MCC promotes a common sense approach in relation to noise emissions of other vehicles. We encourage riders to be noise responsible.  Off-Road Access MCC supports all forms of off-road riding and wants to help keep areas open for off-road riding. We will do our best to support your club needs and will work in cooperation with ATV and snowmobile clubs.  Off-Road on Race Tracks MCC supports clubs and organizations in their efforts to retain and improve race tracks built in rural areas and to prevent encroachment by residential developments.  Training and LicensingMCC will work with trainers and safety councils to improve standards of rider training and with government to improve the graduated licensing system. We promote training and advanced training to help reduce injury to riders.  Women and MotorcyclingWomen reresent 50% of the population, yet motorcycling has been, in the main, a male-oriented activity. It is heartening to see more women of all ages taking up riding their own motorcycles in recent years, but there are still difficult choices for women who want to ride. We want your views, opinions, ideas and desires about riding and motorcycling in general. We also invite you to send photos of women in motorcycling for our website.
