The Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada (MCC) recently held the Canadian Motorcycle Racing Summit, a discovery meeting to gauge the pulse of motorcycle racing in Canada. This event is the first step of our public consultation to hear from the racing community, and to listen to their suggestions, concerns, and vision for the future of motorcycle racing across Canada.
It’s a goal we aspire to every year – to eat healthier and be more active. With a heightened awareness of the importance of improving our emotional, physical and mental health, people are looking for activities to improve their overall well-being.

A study published November 20th in the Canadian Medical Association Journal (CMAJ) takes a close look at the direct medical costs of motorcycle crashes in Ontario. Through their analysis of medical costs associated with automobile and motorcycle crashes, the study found “that each motorcycle incurs 3 times the injuries, 6 times the medical costs and 5 times the deaths of each automobile.”
November signals a winding down of the motorcycling riding season and marks a reflective time. We wear poppies on our lapels and recognize the contributions of soldiers that have served our country.
This fall, 10 legends and champions will be honoured at the 12th Annual Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Banquet and Reunion. These new inductees join an impressive list of pioneers, contributors, competitors, and organizations that have made a valuable contribution to motorcycling in Canada.
From coast to coast motorcyclists are dedicating their time, organizing events, bringing people together, and raising funds for many different charitable organizations across Canada. They enjoy the day riding together, exploring new roads and sharing a common passion.
Most organizations and associations rely on volunteers to exist. If you find it hard to secure enough people to run your organization and operate events, consider adding youth to the team.
